Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Ases International Journal of Health and Sports Sciences (ASES HSSCI) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.

Following submission, manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial office for compliance with the journal’s scope, author guidelines, and ethical standards. A plagiarism (similarity) check is conducted, and manuscripts with a similarity rate exceeding 20% or with direct quotations exceeding 3% from a single source are returned to authors for revision or rejected.

Author information (names, affiliations, titles, and ORCID IDs) is removed by the editors prior to peer review to ensure anonymity.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. Reviewer and author identities remain confidential throughout the process. Reviewers are generally given 30 days to complete their evaluations. If a review is not received within this period, an alternative reviewer may be appointed.

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Scientific originality and contribution to the field

  • Methodological rigor and validity

  • Consistency between title, content, and objectives

  • Use of relevant and up-to-date literature

  • Ethical compliance

  • Clarity, language quality, and academic style

Based on reviewer reports, editorial decisions fall into one of the following categories:

  • Accept

  • Minor revision

  • Major revision

  • Reject

Authors are expected to submit revisions within 15 days. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal or rejection of the manuscript. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by reviewers if deemed necessary.Ethics and Publication Ethics
